General Dentistry in Clanton, ALThe Care That Keeps Everything Else Simple
Cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns, dentures, and gum care for every age, all under one roof on Baker Ave.
At Price & Baker Family Dentistry, Dr. Casey Price keeps your family's dental health on track right here in Clanton,
without the drive to Birmingham.
It's Been a While, Hasn't It?
Maybe it's been a year. Maybe it's been ten. Maybe the last office made you feel small about the gap, so you just stopped going.
That happens more than anybody admits. Work runs long. The kids' appointments come first. And somewhere in there a cleaning turns into "I'll get to it," and "I'll get to it" turns into avoiding it altogether, because now you're worried about what they'll find.
Here's what we want you to know: nobody here is going to lecture you. Not about the years since your last visit, not about the tooth you've been chewing around, not about any of it. We start where you are and we go from there.

One Practice for the Whole Family.
One Visit at a Time.
General dentistry is the part of your care that keeps small things from becoming expensive things. Regular cleanings catch decay while it's still nothing. Exams and digital X-rays find what you can't feel yet. And when something does need fixing, we fix it here instead of sending you an hour up the interstate.
We see kids, parents, and grandparents, often in the same afternoon. Dr. Price looks at the whole picture, tells you plainly what she sees, lays out your options with the costs attached, and then lets you decide.
No pressure. No treatment plan you didn't ask about. If something can wait, we'll tell you it can wait.
General Dentistry Services We Offer in Clanton, AL.

Routine Exams & Professional Cleanings
The appointment that prevents most of the others. A professional cleaning removes the plaque and tartar your toothbrush cannot reach, and the exam that goes with it catches decay, cracks, and gum problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat.
Most patients do well on a visit every six months. If your gums need closer attention, we'll say so and explain why rather than just putting you on a schedule.
Who it's right for: Every member of your family, whether you were here six months ago or six years ago.
Digital X-Rays & Oral Cancer Screening
Digital X-rays show us what's happening below the surface, between teeth, and under existing work, using a fraction of the radiation of older film systems. They are how we find a problem in year one instead of year three.
Every exam also includes an oral cancer screening. It takes a couple of minutes, it is painless, and it is one of the most valuable things that happens during your visit.
Who it's right for: Every patient at their regular exam, and anyone with pain we cannot see the source of.

Tooth-Colored Fillings
When a cavity needs to come out, we restore the tooth with tooth-colored composite resin that blends with the teeth around it. No metallic glint when you laugh. If you have older silver amalgam fillings you'd like replaced, we can do that too.
Who it's right for: Anyone needing a new filling, or replacing old amalgam work with something that looks natural.
Crowns & Bridges
A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, worn down, heavily filled, or has had a root canal. A bridge fills the space where a tooth is missing by anchoring a replacement to the healthy teeth on either side.
Both restore how your bite works and how your smile looks. Dr. Price will walk you through what each one involves, how long it takes, and what it costs before you commit to anything.
Who it's right for: Patients with a damaged, weakened, or missing tooth who want to keep chewing and smiling normally.

Dentures, Full and Implant-Supported
If you've lost most or all of your teeth, dentures give you back the ability to eat what you want and smile without covering your mouth. We offer full dentures as well as implant-supported dentures, which anchor to implants for a more secure fit and less movement.
This is a conversation we have with a lot of Chilton County patients, and we have it without judgment. Losing teeth is common. Living with it is optional.
Who it's right for: Patients missing most or all of their teeth in an arch who want a stable, comfortable, natural-looking replacement.
Gum (Periodontal) Treatment
Bleeding when you brush, tenderness, persistent bad breath, or gums that have started pulling away from your teeth are all signs of gum disease, and it is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults.
Caught early, it is very treatable. We'll assess where things stand, treat what's there, and give you a straightforward plan to keep it from coming back.
Who it's right for: Anyone with bleeding, swollen, or receding gums, or who has been told they have gum disease.

Second Opinions
Been handed a treatment plan that felt too big, too expensive, or too fast? Bring it in. We'll do our own exam and tell you honestly what we would and would not do, even when the answer is that the first plan was right.
You are never charged for our opinion of somebody else's work beyond the exam itself, and you will never be pressured to switch practices.
Who it's right for: Anyone unsure about a diagnosis or treatment plan they received somewhere else.

Getting Back on Track3 Simple Steps.

Call or Request an Appointment
Reach us at (205) 755-1231 or request an appointment online. Tell us what's going on, or tell us it's just been a while. Both are fine answers.

Come In for a Full Exam
We'll do a thorough exam, take digital X-rays, and give you an honest read on where things stand, along with what it would cost to address anything we find.

Handle It at Your Pace
Some things need attention now. Some things can wait. We'll tell you which is which and build a plan that works with your schedule and your budget.
A Small Problem Is Always
Cheaper Than a Big One
Dental problems do not hold still. A cavity that doesn't hurt yet becomes a cavity that does, then a root canal, then a crown. Early gum disease becomes advanced gum disease, and advanced gum disease is how adults lose teeth.
Every one of those steps costs more than the one before it and takes more of your time. The cleaning and exam you keep pushing off is the cheapest appointment on the whole list.
The best time to come in was six months ago. The second best time is this week.
Your General Dentistry Questions, Answered.
How much does a dental cleaning and exam cost in Clanton, AL?
The cost depends on whether you have insurance, whether X-rays are included, and what your gums need. If you carry dental insurance, routine cleanings and exams are often covered at or near 100%. If you don't, call us at (205) 755-1231 and we'll tell you the out-of-pocket cost up front before you come in.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major dental plans, including BCBS, Aetna, Delta, Guardian, and Southland, plus others. Give us a call with your plan information and our team will verify what your benefits actually cover before your visit, so there are no surprises.
How often should I really come in?
Every six months works well for most people. If you have gum disease, a history of frequent cavities, or certain health conditions, Dr. Price may recommend coming in more often. If she does, she'll explain exactly why rather than just handing you a card.
I haven't been to a dentist in years. Will you judge me?
No. This is the single most common thing patients worry about, and it's the reason a lot of people never come back. It is not how this office works. We'll do a full exam, tell you honestly where things stand, and build a plan from there. One step at a time is a perfectly good pace.
Do you see children?
Yes. We treat patients of every age, from a child's first checkup through adult and senior care. Families often book together, which saves everyone a trip.
What happens at my first visit?
A full exam, digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, and a conversation about anything that's been bothering you. Depending on what we find, we may do your cleaning the same day. You'll leave knowing exactly what we saw, what your options are, and what each one costs.
What if you find something that needs work?
We'll show you what we found, explain your options in plain language, and give you the cost of each one before anything gets scheduled. Then you decide. Nothing gets done in your mouth that you didn't agree to first. Learn more about our practice →
